1974 Project Da Vinci FLOWN balloon cover. Nov 1, 1974 FLOWN Project Da Vinci balloon cover (#797) signed by both pilot & co-pilot, Jimmie Craig and Vera Simons, respectively. Note on reverse in red ink noting that the cover was carried aboard the gondola by Vera Simons. Also includes two unflown Project Da Vinci covers and collateral.

1937 airship Hindenburg metal strut fragment. Piece of the Hindenburg superstructure recovered at wreck site shortly after the crash of the airship. Since the majority of the metal remnants of the airship were shipped back to Germany, few relics of the airship remain today. Nice display (17"x13" framed) and a piece of history. COA included.

Includes 24"x18" color poster depicting Doolittle's plane #6, "Green Hornet" signed by 4 Raiders from various planes and 30"x21" color poster (#95/145) depicting the attack on the Arizona signed by 17 survivors in 2001. Arizona poster has some evidence of meldew at right side. Includes COA for Arizona poster.

First Atomic bomb test - "Trinitite" fragments (x2). TWO pieces of original Trinitite from the world's first Atomic bomb test are included in framed presentation (17"x13") along with photo of the blast. Providence: On July 16, 1945 the first Atomic bomb was detonated at the Trinity test site in the New Mexico desert. The blast generated a temperature of 10 million degrees Fahrenheit and the intense heat melted the desert sand into a light green glass-like substance which is now known as Trinitite. While it is no longer legal to acquire from the original site, small amounts collected prior to the restriction are legal to own. Dramatic artifacts from the beginning of the Atomic age.

"Little Boy" Atomic Bomb scale model signed. Scale 1/10 model of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima Japan by the Enola Gay on Aug 6, 1945. Model is signed in silver ink by pilot Paul Tibbits & navigator Dutch Van Kirk. Model is 1' long and is mounted on 14"x5½" base with plaque reading: "Little Boy"/Hiroshima Nuclear Bomb/Scale 1/10." Bold signatures.

1940s Pilot signed piece of Japanese Zero. Irregularly shaped 5½"x3" max dimension piece of the Japanese Zero signed by pilot Mitsham Nogani in both Japanese and English. Mr Nagani was training as a Kamekaze pilot when the war ended in August 1945. Piece was signed during a meeting of Mr. Nagani and Enola Gay pilot Paul Tibbits. It was during that meeting that Mr. Nagani thanked Mr Tibbits for saving his life. Piece is aged and brittle as one would expect. Rare piece of history and of WWII memorabilia.
